A community development project on the island of Lesvos.

Working toward the local integration of refugees in Greece and wider Europe through vocational training.

Facilitating Integration through Key Disciplines

In addition to vocational training for refugees, Moria Academy will invest the expertise we develop into the local community in 2 ways:

1

Offering non-formal, extra-curricular education activities to young people.

2

Becoming a local hub for social enterprise and innovation.

How We Work

Our campus is multi-site.

Comprised by the Olive Press, Moria Museum and Wild Olive developments.

Our community is diverse.

It’s made up of local Greeks, refugee trainees and global volunteers as well as a network of supporters based in Europe and beyond.

Our strategy is simple.

“To develop a culture, a model and a toolkit for local integration that is flexible and adaptive, designed for replication across Greece and the wider Eastern Mediterranean Region.”

Why This Matters

We believe that refugees can bring prosperity to local communities in places like Moria.

If you share our hope for the future, we invite you to join the adventure today:
